Nothing wrong with being weird (AI Generated)

I grew up in a society that tells us there is something wrong with being weird. It's okay to be different, but you have to act like everyone else. Well, screw that. I'm not going to be someone else. I want to be me! Let's embrace our differences instead of trying to hide them behind a mask of conformity and politeness. Being weird is a state of mind in which a person does not care what others think, and thus says or does things that are out of the ordinary. While everyone possesses their own unique traits that make them who they are, some individuals stand out from the crowd because they do unusual things, like wearing clothes that are mismatched or speaking in an odd voice. However, I don't think there is anything wrong with being weird as long as you don't hurt others in the process. And you shouldn't feel self-conscious about being yourself - in fact, you should take pride in what makes you different from everyone else. We all have gifts and talents that should be shared with the world. Besides, there is no need to be afraid of being rejected by others if you don't fit in, because you're not supposed to fit into anyone's box anyway. You're supposed to create your own box of things that only you can do. For far too long people have been limited by society's definition of normal and acceptable behavior. As an individual, it's up to you to decide what's right and wrong in your life. So if you choose to do things that are considered odd by some people, that's up to you. Don't let other people decide for you what to believe or do in life - you are the owner of your own mind and your own soul, and you have the power to decide who and what you want to be in this world. So embrace the things that make you unique, and enjoy the freedom that comes with living your life on your own terms. Remember, there is no shame in being different; in fact, you should be proud of the qualities that set you apart from the crowd. If you're not afraid to show your true colors to the world, then no one can stand in your way! Stay weird and stay strong!

Plastic Eating Goats of Venezuela

So there are these goats in Venezuela that eat plastic as their staple meal.

I saw it on the Internet and therefore it is true. Instead of the normal brown pellets, they poop out plastic pellets that can be used to grow plastic trees, from which you can get plastic fruits, which can be used for displays etc. and at the end of their lifetime, they can be fed to other plastic-eating goats of Venezuela.

The Best Pork Curry recipe

Ah, Pork, the best meat in the world. Some people don't eat it for religious reasons, and miss out due to all that silliness. Some people don't eat it for ethical and moral reasons, whatever that means. Some don't eat it because they don't like the taste (I respect that, and will let them pass).

As someone living in Negombo in Sri Lanka, we get to eat more pork than in most parts of the country. However, there are some things that most people don't know about cooking the best pork curry in the world. Below is a bit of an attempt to address this. Following this recipe to the letter will result in one of the best pork-eating experiences you will ever have. If you skip even one bit of it, you are a shit person, and deserve to die will be missing out on perfection. This recipe is all about flavour enhancement at every stage.

Cooking time - 60-90 minutes
Serves - 1-3

Ingredients

Pork - 1kg -  make sure about 30-50% of this is fat, with the rind on. Ensure that it is washed and cubed. Having bones and pieces of liver/kidney will ensure a better flavour.
Coca Cola - 300ml - Get the regular stuff. No fake sweetener-riddled bullshit
Onions - about 4-5 large, sliced
Garlic - about 4-5 cloves, finely chopped.
Curry Leaves - about 2 sprigs, totalling about 20-25 leaves, finely sliced
Ginger - about 5-10g, finely chopped.
Green Chillies - 2-5 depending on how spicy you like your curries, finely chopped

Curry Powder - Roasted and unroasted
Chillie Powder - Roasted or unroasted (Roasted is hotter and has a bit more flavour)
Chillie Flakes - Optional
Turmeric Powder
Black Pepper (Powdered or crushed, but not whole)
Salt

Cinnamon, Cardamom and cloves - 0 ZERO! DO NOT POISON YOUR PORK!

Coconut milk - thick
Fat for frying - Butter or Lard are the best options, but if you want to be unhealthy, choose coconut oil or palm oil. DO NOT use Olive Oil, because it will burn. Also keep away from margarine as a general rule, not just for this recipe.

Method

Get a glass or plastic bowl of appropriate size and put your cubed pork in. Add the entire 300 ml of coca cola, turn it around with your hands (If you don't get your hands in, home cooking is not for you), and leave it to rest for about 10-15 minutes. The acidity of the coca cola will soften the meat, and the sugar will give it a good amount of flavour.

Get a medium-large heavy-bottomed saucepan and add about 10-15g of fat (butter or lard) (if you use oil, put about 15ml) and make sure it heats up to its smoking point, but not so hot that it burns. Add in the following ingredients in this order - Curry leaves, garlic, ginger, Onions. Fry well until the onions have started to brown. It should go without saying that the heat should be at its highest throughout this time...

Add the pork (with the coca cola) and stir it around a little bit. Add the green chillies, then about 2 tsp of salt (maybe more later), about 3-5 tsp roasted curry powder, 2-3 tsp of chillie powder, 2-3 tsp of unroasted curry powder, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1-2 tsp of black pepper, and about 1-3 tsp of chillie flakes (this last one is optional).

Stir the contents around using a spoon. There should be enough water (from the coca cola) to form a base that can coat the meat evenly, close the lid and set the temperature to medium. Cook for about 15-20 minutes by which time the meat would be cooked evenly. Add about 300 ml of thick coconut milk (if making from powdered, add about 50g powder to 300ml water and use this, never put powdered coconut milk into a curry, you barbarian), lower the temperature to its minimum (not off), close the lid and let it cook for 45-50 minutes. It should be noted that you should never leave any curry unattended, because it can do either of two things - boil over, or worse, get burnt. Keep paying this curry some attention, stirring it once every 10 minutes or so.

The curry sauce will be thick,

Serve and eat with rice or bread. Best serving option - red rice and pork curry, no vegetables.

Following Britain's example, Sri Lanka decides to leave Asia

Sri Lanka, known affectionately as the pearl of the Indian Ocean, has decided to follow its former colonial power to leave the continent of which it has been a part. Although surprising to some, this exit was inevitable, as Sri Lanka has always identified as not-quite-Asians, and are completely seperated from the mainland of the Asian continent. President Maithripala Sirisena confirmed this at a press conference held hastily at his residence.

Pundits have long suspected Sri Lanka's need to come out as non-Asian, but were not very sure how to approach this particular topic with sensitivity. This now-precedented move has left some wondering what Sri Lanka's future will be, and others wondering why Sri Lanka decided to identify as Asian in the first place.

"I think it's a wonder-pull idea", said Sirisoma, the tuk-tuk driver who drove me to work this morning. There is, however, some doubt as to his opinion, as I didn't ask him what he thought of what the media dubs "Srexit" (4320 Google results).
